Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is Coming to Leander!

Get ready for merriment and Christmas magic! We’re excited to officially announce the 2026 Old Town Christmas Festival theme: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer!

This year, Old Town will transform into a festive winter wonderland inspired by one of the most beloved Christmas stories of all time. From daytime festivities to an evening filled with holiday magic, there will be something for the whole family to enjoy.

A Full Day of Christmas Fun

The celebration begins early with the Rudolph Run 5K and continues all day long with community entertainment on stage, giving local performers the chance to help us celebrate the season. While you enjoy the music and festivities, be sure to explore the many local vendors, food trucks and holiday treats throughout the festival.

Our Kids Activity Zone will give little elves plenty to see and do, with family-friendly activities designed to keep the Christmas spirit going all day.

And, of course, no Old Town Christmas Festival would be complete without our beloved community parade! Gather the family and find your spot along the route as colorful floats, community groups and holiday cheer make their way through Old Town. And keep your eyes open – Santa Claus will lead the Christmas excitement at 1 p.m.

Lighting the Tree—and Making It Snow!

As the sun goes down, we’ll gather for one of the most anticipated moments of the festival: the Old Town Christmas Tree Lighting.

Once the tree lights up, the magic doesn’t stop there. We’ll complete our winter wonderland with foam “snow”, creating a fun and festive snowy scene right here in Texas!

Then, grab a cup of hot chocolate, settle in and get cozy because we’re ending the evening with a special showing of the classic holiday favorite, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

It’s the perfect way to wrap up a day filled with family, community and Christmas magic.
