Parade
The Old Town Christmas Parade is held at 1pm and is managed by the City of Leander. Interested participants can apply to be in the parade here.

Weather & Emergency Updates
The Old Town Christmas Festival is a rain or shine event. In the case of severe weather, activities and events may delayed or modified.
The City of Leander has implemented an emergency notification system. In the case of an emergency, the City will push out text notifications to subscribers. To receive notifications, text “OLDTOWNFEST” to 888777.
Parking & Road Closures
Street parking is limited due to road closure. Visitors may park on any Old Town street not marked for closure or in Leander ISD lots throughout Old Town. Do not park in front of or on resident’s lawns.
Street closures will begin at 5:30 AM on Saturday, Dec. 7 and be fully opened by 12:00 AM (midnight) on Sunday, Dec. 8. Towing is strictly enforced.
Streets will open and close throughout the day depending on the activity. Our goal is to leave as many streets open as possible, but ensuring the safety of our citizens is always top priority. Refer to the map below for expected closures.

Kid’s Activities
The Old Town Christmas Festival is fun for the whole family and offers several kid-friendly activities and events including:
- Fun Zone with rides, inflatables and a petting zoo
- Community Parade
- Visit with Santa
- Holiday Performances
Please note our kids fun zone is subject to sudden closures due to weather or mechanical issues. Kids zone activities are open from 11am until 6pm.

- handheld GoPro-style cameras without attachments including selfie sticks, tripods, headgear, etc.

Coolers:

permitted when necessary for medical or dietary needs only

prohibited for general use
Drinks:

- 2 plastic, factory-sealed water bottles per person

Pets:

leashed, friendly dogs permitted during our 5K race and during the day until 5pm

Seating:

portable, collapsible single-seat chairs

- multi-seat, connecting or bench style chairs
- hammocks or any devices requiring attachment to permanent structures
Shade:

handheld umbrellas 42″ or smaller when open

- eCigs and Vapes

- strollers
